We often can’t understand why our
thoughts are so negative and even impure.
Sometimes we wonder why our minds are so clouded and bogged down with
the mess in this world, when the fact of the matter is…that’s exactly what we’re
feeding it. We want rid of the
negativity but aren’t willing to seek and take in the positive. The Lord has blessed us with His word in The
Bible, but how often are we willing to take it in and read it?
What fills our minds and comes out
of our mouths and actions is what’s in our hearts. The more we seek Him the clearer we will see
things. The more time we take for Him
the more at peace our hearts and minds will be.
Trust me I understand…we have jobs, kids and so many other things on our
plates to take care of; seems like we don’t have time for anything else, but if
we are too busy for God we are doing way more than He ever intended for us to
be.
Even if we started with a few
minutes in the morning…read a few scripture and say a pray; asking God to write
these words on our hearts and help us to walk in His will for our lives. Maybe you can find a devotional book that has
a scripture for the day along with a small story or uplifting word to support
it. When our hearts are sincere He hears
us and will help us along the way. He
loves and cares for us more than we will ever know or understand.
I can honestly say when you decide
to give Him your time, energy and devotion that your life will truly change for
the better. Darkness and light can’t
dwell in the same place and when you open yourself up to His light…He will
chase out the dark. Your thoughts will
begin to change, next will follow your actions and finally you will notice the
change in your heart. Not only will you
not want the negativity in your life, but you will learn to speak over it and even
walk away from it.
God
gave us this life and wants the best for us.
I believe that He wants us to prosper… to have His best in all aspects
and areas of our lives. When we seek Him
and fill our hearts and minds with His word then we are able to live in that
best. Yes, there will still be tough
days and hard seasons in our lives, but with God we can make it through with
the peace and clarity that can only come from Him. Take a little time out and over it up to Him
today.
