I am always so honored and thankful
when I'm presented with an opportunity to teach my child(ren) what it really
means to live for Christ. My oldest has come to me upset because a certain
family member has been slandered by someone who really knows the truth and
knows better; this has made her not only angry, but hurt and leaning towards
bitterness and hatred. She wants to right the wrong herself...by telling it
like it truly is or trying to validate the situation on her own to all who have
been miss-informed.
I've explained to her that you can
only control yourself...that what others do; they will have to answer
for! Yes, there are times when we must stand up and speak for ourselves,
but there is a thin line between doing so and lowering yourself to that same
level that you're trying to call out.
The beautiful thing about living
for God is that we don't have to validate, justify or make known of our good
deeds because when and if the time is right…He take care of it.
